Many websites exist that let you download games to your PSP. It's tough to find a good website for this, however. Here are some tips to make this a little easier for you.

The firmware for your PSP is like the operating system of the unit. You'll have to learn how to change your PSP firmware most likely, to a version that will let downloaded games work on your PSP. Downloaded games worked on version 1 and 1.5 of the firmware pretty easily.

If you want to check your firmware version, just go into the system settings and select the system information tab. Your firmware version will be displayed.

It is easy to play movies and music on your PSP with any firmware version, you just have to download them and transfer them and make sure they are PSP compatible. Good PSP game download sites often allow you to download movies and music for your PSP as well.

You can also download games for older systems like SNES, NES and more to your PSP from these sites which is a bonus. They show you how to download emulators for your PSP and start running old system game ROMs on it.

There are lots of PSP download sites, so you should make sure you choose a reputable one that won't download viruses and adware to your computer.
