Fix My Xbox - Here's How

Posted by Anonymous

Are you experiencing xbox errors? I have too but I found out how to fix my xbox and today I am going to share those secrets with you.

The problem I had when I wanted to fix my xbox was what is known as "the 3 red light error". This occurs when your xbox overheats and the internal components of your xbox begin to get damaged. You xbox has heat sinks, vents and fans that help cool it down, however, they do not always work properly. A design flaw has caused errors in about 30% of consoles sold.

There are in fact a wide range of options I had to fix my xbox and I will discuss each one beginning with the cheapest.

1. Storage. Often people keep their console somewhere that does not have proper air circulation. Try removing your xbox from where it is currently located and place it in the open so it can "breath".

2. Blow the dust out. Dust accumulation accounts for a number of xbox errors, you might just need to blow into the vents to get rid of dust.

3. Downloadable repair guides. A close friend of mine had the same problem as me and purchased a repair guide for about $25. I checked into these and they are very reputable. They come with satisfaction guarantees, step by step instructional videos for all xbox problems. I wish I had taken this approach to fix my xbox.

4. Return it to Microsoft. When neither of the first two helped fix my xbox I returned it to Microsoft. The frustrating part about this was that it cost me $30 to mail and I had to pay $140 for the repair bill since my 90 day warranty had expired. Plus it took them almost 2 months to send it back.

I understand what you are going through right now, when I had to fix my xbox I was very frustrated. Hopefully this information has helped you can get your xbox running smoothly again.
